Hey Felix, love the reports. I look forward to them each time. Please do something for me. The out-takes are fun but could you leave out the GD statements? I lead a rocket club and the school where my wife teaches. We talk rockets and space flight and I love showing them your presentations. I feel like I know you personally because of the way you present. Thank you so very much!

Power on the Moon will be a problem. The lunar night is 14 days long where solar panels won’t be doing anything. It’s incredibly cold so significant power is needed. Power on Mars will be a problem because sunlight is 50% weaker and the highly abrasive dust will quickly degrade solar panels. Plutonium-238 powered MMRTG has a low power output and we don’t have enough 238 for robot probes. Nobody wants to admit it, but power provided by molten salt nuclear plants are probably the only option.

When the dyneema cables nudge the top of the booster into position I'm assuming the gimbling control of the rocket engines will be sensitive enough to compensate and stop the lean that will be induced by that pressure. If they were not an instability could result with the bottom end of the rocket swinging about possibly into the stand.

Catching SH should not be above its launch mount to avoid damages if mishaps should occur; so catching it at 90 degrees from the launch mount, which also would be 180 degrees from Starship, would be safer. F9 does not hover before touchdown, so it is doubt SH would be burning fuel by needless hovering as well; the landing burn, positioning, and catching arm movement, would all be orchestrated just right - just like the F9 landing legs deployment.

space-x will take us from primitive space technology to advance to "the expanse" level technology, in 100-150 years probably. nasa is a old dog, formed just and only to out-do the soviets.

Every time i look at these starships they look flimsy.. they look almost fake like they're hiding structural flaws... Once it gets into space with all the space debris how is it not get punctured... I mean everything's moving at orbital speeds.. i'm not hating i just can't understand the waviness in the metal... I mean when i watch china send up something and it explodes i immediately think of insurance fraud

Here's a wiser advise, how about doing a earlier and if not-yet reusable rocket to deploy robotic workers to the ground and make the early landing pad&runways, bio atmospher domes and orbit station out of the used canister rocket starting NOW( as ASAP), to shorten the full 2050 colonizing as early as 2033.

4:38 Felix, the Methane and Oxygen labels are transposed. The Methane runs through the large center pipe and has a manifold just below the thrust-puck cone. The 3 vertical Oxygen pipes support the 3 Raptor engines below the cone and split just above it. Since the thrust-puck is the bottom of the oxygen tank, one of each split oxygen pipe draws directly from the tank bottom, while the other three are merged before the long run up to the Oxygen header tank. In previous versions of the thrust puck, the 3 methane lines were split by a manifold suspended above the cone. There were six "punctures" of the thrust puck.

4:37 I think you've accidentally switched the Oxygen and Methane pipes. The fat central pipe connects to the methane downcomer. The Y-shaped pipes are downwards connected to the raptor's oxygen intake.
